Being the middle child

*ATTENTION all parents (with 2 kids or more): you have more than 1 kid in the house!!!*

In my family, I have an older half-brother (I don't have problems with him at all since he's usually never around) and a little sister. My brother is the light of my father's eyes. My sister is the star attention of both my parents' eyes. And where does that leave me? Exactly! It leaves me looking in the phonebook under adoption. Whenever my little sister is in pain, it's "Oh my god!! It's the end of the world as we know it!" But, when I get hurt or can't even breathe, it's "Oh. She'll be fine." WTF?!! Or maybe when little sister wants to go somewhere or wants something, it's "Ohhh, sure. We'll buy it for you or let me drop what I'm doing right now and let's go to the mall!" With me, it's "I'm tired. We'll do it tomorrow or find something cheap like a $1 DVD while we buy your sister a bike that she can't ride and will probably never use."
